The Start of My Journey

Ten years ago, I began this journey with nothing more than a small binder and a heart desperate for healing. I started by journaling my emotions daily, seeking clarity and direction. It was a simple beginning, but it was the first step toward a transformation I never could have imagined.

As I wrote, I encountered the power of God’s Word, particularly in 2 Corinthians 10:5:

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

This verse became my anchor as I worked to take every thought captive. With prayer, scripture, and journaling, I began to uncover deep-rooted issues tied to my childhood—often referred to as "mommy and daddy issues." God revealed patterns of negative thinking that fueled my struggles with anger, sadness, anxiety, and other emotions.


The Healing Process

Healing wasn’t immediate, but it was real. It was a partnership: I chose to cooperate with Christ, and He guided me through layers of emotional pain. Day by day, God renewed my mind, untangling the lies that had taken root and replacing them with His truth.

This process taught me that healing is not passive. It requires intention, vulnerability, and trust in God’s power. Now, I am honored to share the Restored Bible-Based Therapy Toolkit—a resource that mirrors the tools and principles God used to transform my heart and mind.

Our lives are shaped by our roots—the deep-seated beliefs and experiences that influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Negative roots lead to unhealthy patterns, but when we allow God to transform these roots, we begin to bear the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, and more (Galatians 5:22-23).

Ignoring the roots of our pain doesn’t make them disappear. In fact, unaddressed wounds can manifest in unexpected ways—through anger, anxiety, sadness, or even physical symptoms. The only way to experience true healing is to address these roots with God’s guidance.
